I am a Birmingham, Alabama-based writer, editor, and program director in
arts, culture, and the humanities. My work engages with food, textiles, and
the American and Global Souths. I currently lead programs and scholarship
for Project
Threadways and work in editorial and marketing for the Southern Foodways
Alliance, where I contribute to Gravy quarterly and edit
Gravy podcast. I have a B.S. from Northwestern University’s Medill
School of Journalism and an M.A. in Southern Studies from the University of
Mississippi.
